Treasure Beyond Measure

While this book offers a few theme suggestions, it is not presented to make topical study appear as the most ideal way to plan daily devotionals. Perhaps the possibility of inadvertently wresting the Scriptures is increased by imposing an external pattern of organization, or by choosing a verse-here verse-there approach. Reading through passages continuously accompanied by expository teaching may provide a more coherent understanding of the Scriptures and is encouraged, especially with older students. Neither is this book a substitute for the teacher’s personal Bible study. Rather, may teachers be encouraged to daily, prayerfully mediate on the Word and then to share with their students what the Lord has imparted to them.
